1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BriefIQ ("the Service") at briefiq.io or through our app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
These terms apply to all users including visitors, registered users and paying subscribers.
2. Description of Service
BriefIQ is an AI-powered SEO content platform that helps users generate content briefs, write articles, grade content quality and publish to WordPress. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with different plan tiers.
3. Account Registration
To use BriefIQ you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
- Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement.
4. Subscription and Payment
BriefIQ offers paid subscription plans (Starter, Pro, Agency) billed monthly. By subscribing you agree to:
- Pay the subscription fee for your chosen plan
- Provide accurate and complete billing information
- Subscriptions auto-renew monthly unless cancelled
- Prices may change with 30 days notice to existing subscribers
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
5. Free Trial
New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to their chosen plan. No credit card is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial period, you must subscribe to continue using the Service.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription. Upon cancellation:
- You retain access until the end of your current billing period
- No refunds are provided for partial billing periods
- Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation
If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the Service, please contact us at hello@briefiq.io and we will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use BriefIQ to:
- Generate spam, misleading or deceptive content
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Reverse engineer, decompile or hack the Service
- Use the Service to generate content that promotes hatred, violence or discrimination
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without permission
8. Intellectual Property
Your content: You own all content you create using BriefIQ — briefs, articles, keywords and other outputs. We do not claim ownership of your content.
Our platform: BriefIQ owns all rights to the platform, software, design and brand. You may not copy, modify or distribute our platform without written permission.
9. AI-Generated Content
BriefIQ uses AI to generate content including briefs, articles and suggestions. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content may not always be accurate or complete
- You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content before publishing
- We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will rank in search engines
- Content generated does not constitute professional advice
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BriefIQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages including loss of profits, data or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
11. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates or unforeseen technical issues. We are not liable for any losses arising from service interruptions.
12. Privacy
Your use of BriefIQ is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or in-app notification. Your continued use of BriefIQ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through good faith negotiation before any legal proceedings are initiated.
